Adding to its Spark Series of cameras, JAI has released the Spark Series SP-5000M-CXP2 (monochrome) and SP-5000C-CXP2 (color) cameras, which feature a CoaXPress interface. The cameras feature a 1" 5 MPixel CMOS image sensor with a 5 µm x 5 µm pixel size that achieves a maximum full frame rate of 211 fps. At this rate, the cameras deliver more than a billion pixels per second for 8-bit monochrome or raw Bayer configurations. The Spark CoaXPress cameras feature 8/10/12-bit dual CoaXPress output, 60 dB linear dynamic range with 100 dB piece-wise HDR mode, and a C-Mount lens mount. In addition, the cameras are equipped with in-camera pattern correction algorithms and JAI’s Auto Level Control, which combines auto gain, auto shutter, and auto iris capabilities in an integrated function to let users optimize their auto exposure control for lowest noise, fastest shutter, or other priorities.
