Sumix introduces Hummingbird line of compact USB 3.0 cameras

Hummingbird USB 3.0 cameras from Sumix are compact, lightweight cameras that will be available in models from 1 to 16 MPixels.
 

Hummingbird USB 3.0 cameras from Sumix are compact, lightweight cameras that will be available in models from 1 to 16 MPixels. Currently, two camera models are available: the 5 MPixel SMX-15M5M (mono), and the SMX-15M5C (color). These cameras feature a 1/2.5” 5 MPixel CMOS image sensor from Aptina (ON Semiconductor) with a 2.2 µm pixel size that achieves a frame rate of 14 fps at full resolution and 124 fps at 640 x 480. The 5 MPixel Hummingbird cameras also feature 8 or 12 bit selectable bit depth, C/CS lens mount, and robust unibody aluminum housing with a screw lock USB connector. In addition, the cameras come with a set of software examples in the SDK, and are compatible with third party software such as LabVIEW, MatLAB, and HALCON. Hummingbird USB 3.0 cameras are suitable for use in such applications as factory automation, robotics, security, medical imaging, biometrics, and microscopy applications.
