ON Semiconductor’s new KAI-08051 8.1 MPixel CCD image sensor leverages technology from the recently-acquired Truesense Imaging and is designed for intelligent traffic systems, surveillance, medical imaging, and machine vision applications.

ON Semiconductor’s new KAI-08051 8.1 MPixel CCD image sensor leverages technology from the recently-acquired Truesense Imaging and is designed for intelligent traffic systems, surveillance, medical imaging, and machine vision applications. The 4/3” KAI-08051 features a 5.5 µm x 5.5 µm pixel size, a maximum frame rate of 16 fps, and is available in monochrome or color models. The sensor also feature region of interest mode, a newly-optimized microlens structure, and new color filter pigments in both Bayer and Sparse color configurations.
