MARCH 6, 2009--Users can send live video, stereo audio, and four channels of bidirectional data through any cell system to the Internet using the Colby Cellular VideoModem. The video can be viewed by entering an IP address and password into the Colby Console Viewer software from any Windows PC with an Internet connection. The VideoModem is suitable for use with any camera that must be instantly accessible worldwide when there is no available wired connection to the Internet. It provides selectable 320 x 230 or 480 x 640 resolution, frame rate 5-15 frames/s (depending upon cell system data rate) or 30 frames/s if the user has an optional second cell modem or Wi-Fi modem installed (the device auto-switches between Wi-Fi and cellular service), and H.264 compression.
