JANUARY 19, 2009--From the OC Oerlikon business unit Optics, Optics Balzers AG (Balzers, Liechtenstein; www.opticsbalzers.com) has been launched as a separate company through local private investors along with the company's management team. Optics Balzers, a supplier of customized optical thin-film components and subassemblies, will further expand its activities in existing and new markets with its own sales organization.
The new management includes Martin Kaspar (CEO), Esther Schneider (finance), Dirk von Frajer (marketing and sales), Norman Korner (operations), Othmar Züger (R&D), and Guglielmo Cappellari (product management).
