OCTOBER 13, 2009--The Arti-flex borescope provides flexibility and control in tight, multiturn areas where quality inspection can be difficult to accomplish. The scope is designed for heavy in-line use by manufacturers of aerospace, automotive, and precision casting industries, as well as off-line inspection labs. EasyGlide two-way articulation enables precise manipulation. A durable, fused fiberoptic image bundle is composed of more than 10,000 flexible glass fibers. A stainless-steel braided sheath protects the probe; an ergonomic handle with new thumb-lever controls helps prevent operator fatigue. The Arti-Flex is available in diameters down to 2.5 mm, offers multiple lengths of probe, and accepts video adapters, digital cameras, and battery-powered light sources for portability.
