It images 133 frames/s at full 640 x 480-pixel resolution (8-bit monochrome), as well as partial scan modes that top 430 frames/s. Based on a 1/3-in. progressive-scan CCD, the camera system features 7.4-µm2 pixels, an electronic shutter (1/50,000 to 2 sec), and random trigger shutter. The CS8581QF is comprised of a remote head camera and a central control unit (CCU) that can be mounted up to 2 m apart from each other by a cable, making it appropriate for movement applications where the remote head is mounted on the end of a robot arm or a positioning stage.
