FEBRUARY 3, 2009--The EMV-VGA provides 658 x 496-pixel (VGA), progressive-scan digital video at up to 38 frames/s. Color or monochrome versions use electron multiplication (EMCCD) technology. The camera incorporates a thermoelectric cooler (to -20°C) to reduce the dark current noise of the EMCCD. The sensor measures 6.58 x 4.96 mm, with 10 x 10-µm pixels at 20-MHz pixel clock. Exposure modes include triggered program, manual, and double exposure, as well as free run. The camera is offered with Camera Link or GigE interfaces.
