OCTOBER 18--CIS Corporation (Seattle, WA, USA), a supplier of industrial-grade cameras, is establishing a new base of operations in the United States.

OCTOBER 18--CIS Corporation (Seattle, WA, USA), a supplier of industrial-grade cameras, is establishing a new base of operations in the United States. CIS Americas will handle sales, marketing, and support service to customers and distributors in the North American region. CIS Americas is immediately accepting orders and inquiries from systems integrators, distributors, and other interested parties. Products will be shipped directly from within the USA via CIS America's distributor network.

"CIS has built long-standing relationships with our customers in Japan, Europe, and Asia," said Seisuke Yamanaka, president of CIS Corporation in Japan. "With CIS Americas, we are determined to build new customer relationships in the North American market."

The CIS lineup of CCD cameras range from the cost-effective 29-mm³ VCC-G20 series analog cameras to the new VCC-F32 color digital camera with 5M CCD image sensor and an ultrahigh-speed 72-MHz pixel clock. All CIS cameras are configured in high-density packaging, delivering high-speed operation in a small footprint.
