FEBRUARY 8--The new Web site for Basler Vision Components (Ahrensburg, Germany; www.basler-vc.com) offers comprehensive information about digital cameras for industrial use, and the site has been expanded to include a variety of useful new features. The "camera selector," for example, gives customers the ability to find the right camera for their application by entering different criteria such as interface, resolution, or speed. Another new feature is the "camera comparer." Users can choose up to four different models and compare specifications at a glance.
Info subscriptions, contact forms, an FAQ page, and downloadable product and software backgrounders are additional features. Basler has also introduced a Chinese version to cater to the growing information needs of its Chinese customers and partners.
The revamped Web site features a new look and feel. Clear and precise structuring lets different types of users find the areas that interest them even more quickly than before. Navigation has been optimized and adapted to the most current user behavior with a dynamic navigation bar to facilitate surfing.
