JAI announces distribution agreement with Nu Horizons

JANUARY 17-- JAI Inc. (San Jose, CA, USA; www.jai.com), a manufacturer of high-performance industrial cameras, has announced an agreement with Nu Horizons Electronics (Melville, NY, USA; www.nuhorizons.com), a distributor of advanced technology semiconductor, display, and system solutions.

(San Jose, CA, USA; www.jai.com), a manufacturer of high-performance industrial cameras, has announced an agreement with Nu Horizons Electronics (Melville, NY, USA; www.nuhorizons.com), a distributor of advanced technology semiconductor, display, and system solutions. The company will distribute JAI's complete line of industrial camera products throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Under terms of the agreement, Nu Horizons will leverage its network of 29 North American sales offices to provide sales and support for the JAI and PULNiX camera brands to customers in the machine-vision, medical, and scientific communities.

JAI is a manufacturer of industrial-grade cameras for the machine-vision, transportation, military, aerospace, and homeland security, medical, and scientific markets. JAI's product line features both CCD and CMOS technologies, spatial resolutions from VGA to multimegapixel, progressive-scan and interlaced format, and sensitivity to light levels as low as 0.00001 lux. Camera offerings include both monochrome and color, capture rates from real time to more than 1000 frames/s, and a variety of physical interfaces including Camera Link and the new GigE Vision Gigabit Ethernet standard.
