NOVEMBER 28, 2007--i2S Linescan (Pessac, France; www.i2s-linescan.com), a specialist in surface inspection for quality control and optimization of production process, will be bolstering its presence on the Chinese market by moving its i2S Linescan China subsidiary to a larger facility in Shanghai. This new structure is part of a push to be close to the market so as to be better able to both react to local customer requirements and to follow European and American customers moving their production capacity in China. Hence, this location will act as a hub for technology transfer and will have complete business and technical autonomy to adapt our solutions to the Chinese market.

"The opening a new office is a step in the development of our i2S Linescan division and is a response to increased surface-inspection activity first in the Chinese and then Asian markets. Our presence on this continent is a strategic choice to have better communication and meet our customers' expectations," comments Alain Ricros, chairman of the supervisory board of the i2S group, who is in charge of international affairs and partnerships. "Our solutions have already been adopted by many well-known Chinese customers, as well as some local factories of multinational groups. This new step will allow our customers to benefit from the advantages of having increased local service," adds Adrien Poly, manager of i2S Linescan business unit and supervisor of i2S Linscan China. The new office includes a sales force targeting China and a technical support infrastructure that will offer local services and direct support contact.
