IMI Technology creates North American subsidiary

JULY 6, 2007--Ill-Sang Choi, founder and president of IMI Technology (Seoul, Korea; www.imi-tech.com), announced the creation of a North American subsidiary called IMI NA, based in San Diego, CA.

JULY 6, 2007--Ill-Sang Choi, founder and president of IMI Technology (Seoul, Korea; www.imi-tech.com), announced the creation of a North American subsidiary called IMI NA, based in San Diego, CA. SeungKee Hong and Dennis Neary will manage the new subsidiary. Hong is currently general manager of the marketing division of IMI in Korea. Neary, formerly worldwide vice president of sales and marketing for the Motion Analysis Systems Division of Eastman Kodak Company and vice president of sales for Simply Automated Incorporated, is currently president of Sadapro International and of Image Teck.

Choi said that IMI has been successfully providing digital cameras in Europe and the Pacific Rim for the past six years. The introduction of IMI NA will allow the company to provide rapid delivery and excellent support to North American customers.

IMI NA has already established a sales channel that includes three distributors in the USA and one each in Canada and Mexico. IMI NA provides digital cameras with CCD and CMOS sensors from Kodak, Sony, and Micron. IMI cameras provide output protocols that include FireWire, Camera Link, USB, and GigE. The camera resolutions range from VGA 640 x 480 to 16 Mpixels. The products are RoHS compliant and supply features such as auto-iris and multi-camera sync.
