Bitflow's ImageWarp real-time tracking script was designed to track differences from a known background image. The detected differences are highlighted by a rectangular box in which the contents of each box was processed in real-time with a Sobel edge filter and overlayed with the box's height and width. In addition, each detected box was sent to a separate live window after zooming in by 200% offering a nonprocessed closeup of the detected object. This software capability could easily be adapted to early detection systems, surveillance systems as well as intersection and pedestrian monitoring applications.

Components include
BitFlow R3-PCI-CL13 Camera Link Frame Grabber supporting Base Camera Link camera configurations.
BitFlow ImageWarp (www.imagewarp.com) Industrial and Scientific software product.
Logical Solutions Camera Fiber-Link product.
JAI Pulnix (Sunnyvale, CA; www.jaipulnix.com) TM-1400CL camera.

A second ImageWarp real-time tracking demonstration was presented using a USB camera and a laptop computer. The Video window is live video from a USB camera. The Image #2 window is a real-time capture with the detected object inside the green box, processed with the Sobel and labeled with the dimensions. Image #3 is the unprocessed detected object zoomed to 200%. In addition, there is slider control for sensitivity and the minimum size of the detected object.
