NOVEMBER 11--Industrial Vision Systems (IVS; www.industrialvision.co.uk) has unveiled the creation of its new linescan testing facilities in conjunction with its new FireWire linescan technology. The new facilities are designed to meet the growing demand for advanced FireWire linescan solutions based on the industry-standard NeuroCheck machine-vision software. NeuroCheck is the commercially available machine vision software package that supports off-the-shelf FireWire linescan cameras. Industrial Vision Systems has already developed and shipped solutions using this new technology.

The new facilities include a range of linescan cameras, lighting, and optical arrangements in conjunction with full mechanical tables for setup and executing of tests. The FireWire linescan camera CCD sensor consists of only a single line array of light-sensitive elements, but with the possibility of very high resolution.
