NOVEMBER 4--DALSA Corporation has announced the availability of its powerful linescan camera, the Piranha2-12k. With 12288 pixels, 8 taps, 24kHz line rate, and a data rate totaling 320 MHz, DALSA's new camera reportedly offers higher resolution and higher throughput than any other linescan camera. The 12k Piranha2 enables faster, more precise industrial inspection to help improve product quality and reduce cycle time and costs in applications such as print and web inspection. The camera provides powerful programmability and versatility including flat-field correction, programmable line rate, exposure time, gain, and diagnostics through its industry-standard Camera Link interface.
