DECEMBER 2--Redlake (San Diego, CA; www.redlake.com) and AOS Technologies AG (Switzerland; www.aostechologies.com) have announced the creation of a strategic alliance for the worldwide distribution of AOS high-speed motion cameras and future product development. As part of this alliance, Redlake will manage the worldwide sales and marketing effort for all Redlake-branded AOS products. These include the new Redlake MotionScope series and the new MotionXtra HG-SE.
Redlake further expands its high-speed line by featuring entry to mid-range self-contained CMOS-based cameras, featuring a plug-n-play IEEE-1394a (FireWire) interface. With a FireWire hub, multiple cameras can be integrated into an existing network. Deliveries begin in December 2004.
Rob Samuelsen, president of Redlake, says, "Redlake's goal is to provide the most complete high-speed motion camera portfolio to our customers, and the Redlake/AOS alliance significantly contributes to this goal."
Stephan Trost, managing director of AOS, says, "This strategic alliance will leverage the unique strengths of both organizations by using AOS technology with Redlake's worldwide sales and marketing team to further penetrate this growing market with existing and future products."
