New partnership strengthens Jenoptik and Japan Laser Corp. activities in the Asian market

DECEMBER 14--Japan Laser Corp. and JENOPTIK Laser, Optik, Systeme GmbH (Jena, Germany; www.jenoptik-los.com) have decided to bundle their activities in the Japanese market for thermographic cameras. An agreement to this effect was signed by the two companies at the International Imaging Exhibition in Yokohama, Japan. From now on, Japan Laser Corp. will distribute all thermographic cameras of the VarioCAM, VarioTHERM, and VARIOSCAN series in Japan and will also be involved in the development of new IR camera products.

Under the agreement, Japan Laser can significantly expand its current product range of IR cameras by adding cameras from Jenoptik. By partnering with this local supplier, JENOPTIK taps a new important market in which sales, especially of the new generation of thermographic cameras, VarioCAM, will increase.
