Tattile USA appoints Brian St. Pierre and John Merva

APRIL 14--Tattile Srl has announced that Brian St. Pierre has joined Tattile USA (Bedford, NH; www.tattile.com) as vice president of sales.

APRIL 14--Tattile Srl has announced that Brian St. Pierre has joined Tattile USA (Bedford, NH; www.tattile.com) as vice president of sales. Tattile also announced the appointment of John Merva to president of US operations. Tattile USA provides sales, service, application engineering, and technology development for customers in the United States and North America.

Tattile International managing director Robert Fenwick-Smith stated, "This is another step in our plan to bring capable, experienced personnel to our operation here in the United States. Tattile will continue to solidify our operations in the USA, allowing us to deliver strong value to our customers in the USA as we have done in Europe."

Newly named Tattile USA president John Merva stated, "We are very excited about the addition of Brian to our team. Brian comes to us with more than 20 years of experience in the machine-vision industry. His years of experience, management expertise, and knowledge in the machine-vision industry make for a solid addition to our team and a valuable asset to our customers."

Brian St. Pierre states, "Tattile's product breadth in machine vision, from cameras to solutions, positions them at the forefront of the North American Market. I am pleased to be a part of the experienced team that is leading this effort."

Tattile opened operations in the USA in December 2003 and will exhibit at Vision East in Boston, May 4-6, 2004. With more than 20,000 systems delivered, Tattile's products include stand-alone smart cameras and image processor products based on embedded microprocessor architecture. These designs provide high-speed image acquisition and processing while consuming as little as 7 W each, making them ideal for mobile or battery-powered applications. Tattile also provides a line of industrial cameras including black-and-white, color, high-resolution, linescan, and custom cameras in response to customer needs.

Tattile USA's parent company, Tattile Srl, founded in 1988, designs, develops, and manufactures integrated industrial machine-vision and digital imaging products and related control systems. Markets for its products include the automatic visual inspection of packaging, textiles, automotive, and pharmaceutical products, as well as the security, transportation, and bio-medical markets. All Tattile products operate stand-alone and have Ethernet connectivity built in.
