Medical imaging line scan cameras from Teledyne e2v to be showcased at The Vision Show 2018

At The Vision Show 2018, Teledyne e2v’s OctoPlus range of line scan cameras for optical coherence tomography (OCT) applications will be on display.

At The Vision Show 2018, Teledyne e2v’s OctoPlus range of line scan camerasfor optical coherence tomography (OCT) applications will be on display. The cameras are available in both Camera Link and USB 3.0 models and are based on a monochrome 2048-pixel CMOS line scan image sensor with two options for pixel sizes: 10 x 20µm and 10 x 200µm.

Both models are available in four line-rate versions: up to 20 kl/s, 80kl/s, 130kl/s and 250kl/s, and have bit depths of 10, 11, and 12 bits. The USB3 version can reach a max speed of 150 kHz and the Camera Link version can reach 250 kHz. OctoPlus cameras, according to Teledyne e2v, were developed following discussions with doctors and medical industry professionals and is based on a new image sensor pixel architecture specifically tuned to provide users with accurate images of the retina and cornea; mapping tissue structure, measuring thickness and visualizing blood flow dynamics for diagnostics.
