• Deep learning machine vision camera from FLIR to debut at VISION 2018

    At VISION 2018 in Stuttgart, Germany; FLIR will introduce the Firefly camera for deep learning applications, which features an Intel Movidius Myriad 2 vision processing unit (VPU) that enables users to deploy trained neural networks directly onto the camera and conduct inference on the edge.

    At VISION 2018 in Stuttgart, Germany; FLIR will introduce the Firefly camera for deep learningapplications, which features an Intel Movidius Myriad 2 vision processing unit (VPU) that enables users to deploy trained neural networks directly onto the camera and conduct inference on the edge. The camera features a monochrome 1.58 MPixel Sony IMX296 CMOS image sensor, which offers a 3.45 µm pixel size and frame rates up to 60 fps through a USB 3.1 Gen 1 interface.

    FLIR will also showcase its latest machine vision cameras based on Sony Pregius sensors, as well as its latest shortwave infrared (SWIR) and longwave infrared (LWIR) sensors, 10 GigE industrial cameras, board-level cameras for embedded vision applications, and thermal inspection solutions for various applications.
