TPL Vision has released a new Z-SPOT spotlight with a lockable zoom lens.

The spotlight is designed to emit a focused and directional beam of light to improve contrast, helping  vision systems capture accurate images. It uses auto-strobe overdrive technology, which provides a 3X intensity boost.

Meanwhile, the zoom lens has built-in adaptability, so users can fine-tune the illumination for working distances from 30 to 1000 mm.

Enclosed in an IP67-rated aluminum housing, the Z-SPOT has a M30 mounting, M12 5-pin connector, and integrated circuit control. Users can mount the Z-SPOT on surfaces ranging from 1 to 30 mm thickness.

It is suitable for applications such as pick-and-place, assembly inspection, barcode inspection, and UV fluorescence.
