Imperx Launches New High Speed Cameras

Cameras designed for machine vision tasks performed in harsh conditions.

Imperx has added two new cameras to its Cheetah line of high-speed, high-sensitivity cameras, the CXP-3C240 and the SFP-C3240. Both cameras come equipped with a Sony Pregius IMX420 CMOS Global Shutter sensor and have 3200 x 2208, 7 MPixel resolution. Both have C-Mount lens mounts.

The CXP-3240, which is the CoaXPress version of the new camera, is equipped with two channel CXP-6 CoaXPress with PoCXP, and can achieve a frame rate up to 152 fps. The GigE version of the camera, SFP-C3240, can achieve a frame rate of up to 129 fps. Both have a dynamic range of 77 dB.

Both models support an array of functions, including strobe outputs, trigger inputs, automatic exposure, and automatic gain control with multiple LUTs. Designed for harsh environments, both cameras are rated IP67, providing protection from water ingress at up to 1 m in depth.  Both have an operating temperature range of -30°C to 75°C. The cameras are especially designed for precision machine vision applications such as automated inspections.
