JANUARY 15, 2009--microEnable IV-BASE x1 PoCL is a new power-over-Camera-Link (PoCL) frame grabber model. An extension of the existing CL specification enables cameras to be powered over frame grabbers without using an additional camera power supply. It supports up to two Base cameras or one Medium Camera Link camera. The board is equipped with 128 Mbytes of DDR RAM, uses a single-lane PCI express interface for data transfer up to 200 Mbytes/s, and features a trigger interface with eight digital signal inputs and eight outputs. Preprocessing features include multitap sorting and improvement of image quality by knee lookup tables. Functionality can be enhanced by add-on cards, such as for the distribution of the camera signal via up to 256 frame grabbers or PCs or the control of external periphery by the trigger interface. The frame grabber is delivered with diagnostic and configuration software and supports Windows and Linux OS.

PRESS RELEASE

VISION 2008 / September 2008

PoCL support for microEnable IV series

With microEnable IV-BASE x1 PoCL a new frame grabber model is introduced by SILICONSOFTWARE which supports PoCL cameras. "Power over CameraLink" (PoCL) is an extension of the existing CL specification, which allows to power cameras over frame grabbers without using an additional camera power supply.

SILICONSOFTWARE releases with microEnable IV-BASE x1 PoCL a competitive frame grabber for PCI express interface, which supports up to two BASE cameras or one MEDIUM CameraLink camera. The board is equipped with 128 MB of DDR-RAM, uses a single lane PCI express interface for a data transfer of up to 200 MB/s and a trigger interface with 8 digital signal inputs and 8 outputs.

Besides implemented pre-processing features like multi-tap sorting or improvement of the image quality by knee lookup tables, the series offers a high scalability and flexibility by the different interfaces.

The functionality of the frame grabber can be enhanced by add-on cards, e.g. for the distribution of the camera signal up to 256 frame grabbers or PCs or the control of external periphery by the trigger interface.

microEnable IV-BASE x1 PoCL is delivered with a diagnosis and configuration software and supports Windows as well as Linux OS operation systems.
