Image sensors capture low light levels The $400 S7010, $1500 S7011 and $2800 S7015 series of front-illuminated FFT CCD area image sensors use binning operation for fluorescence and Raman spectrometry, optical and spectrophotometric analysis, and other low-light detection applications. They provide an effective pixel size of 24 ¥ 24 mm, image areas of 12.888 ¥ 1.44 mm (512 ¥ 60 pixels) to 24.576 ¥ 6.048 mm (1024 ¥ 252 pixels), cooled or uncooled, and compatibility with company multichannel detector heads that allow area scanning or full line-binning operation.
