Baumer HXG cameras combine CMOSIS' global shutter CMOS sensor technology with a dual GigE interface and power over Ethernet (PoE).

HXG cameras combine CMOSIS' global shutter CMOS sensor technology with a dual GigE interface and power over Ethernet (PoE). The HXG models are available in monochrome and color versions or monochrome for the near-infrared (NIR) range. Available with 2- and 4-Mpixel resolutions, the cameras transfer more than 100 frames/sec. Dual GigE technology allows the cameras to double GigE bandwidth to achieve 240 Mbytes/sec. If one GigE line becomes disconnected, the camera will continue to operate on the remaining GigE line without requiring a power-down or reset. The interface supports cable lengths up to 100 m.

NEW PRODUCT PRESS RELEASE

EXCELLENT IMAGE QUALITY AT HIGH SPEEDS: REVOLUTIONARY CAMERAS OFFER POWERFUL CMOS SENSORS AND DUAL GigE

Southington, Conn. -- In response to market demand for high-resolution cameras that deliver excellent image quality at high speeds, Baumer has introduced their revolutionary new HXG cameras that combine the latest CMOS sensor technology with a dual GigE interface and PoE (Power over Ethernet).

Available with 2 and 4 megapixel resolutions, Baumer HXG cameras reliably transfer more than 100 frames/s. Dual GigE technology allows the cameras to double GigE bandwidth, achieving a bandwidth of 240 MB/s with all the advantages of Gigabit Ethernet. If one GigE line becomes disconnected, the camera will continue to operate on the remaining GigE line without requiring a power-down or reset.

To reduce integration costs, the camera's standard interface permits simple, flexible integration into existing systems and supports cable lengths of up to 100 meters. This combination results in short inspection times and makes the new Baumer cameras the fastest series of GigE cameras currently on the market.

High resolutions of up to 2048 x 2048 pixels ensure the desired product quality by optically monitoring even the tiniest details. The Global Shutter sensor from CMOSIS with Correlated Double Sampling (CDS) guarantees sharp images and low readout noise for precise measurements.

More responsive than cameras with CCD sensors, Baumer HXG cameras deliver high sensitivity and excellent image quality, which reduces measuring times and increases throughput and production capacity. The new models are available in either monochrome and color or just monochrome for the near infra-red range (NIR).
