Point Grey's Flea3 FL3-U3-13E4C/M-C USB 3.0 camera provides a global shutter mode for distortion-free motion capture and an electronic rolling shutter mode for low read noise and improved dynamic range.

The Flea3 FL3-U3-13E4C/M-C USB 3.0 camera provides a global shutter mode for distortion-free motion capture and an electronic rolling shutter mode for low read noise and improved dynamic range, which support applications that require fast frame rates and high image quality, such as 3-D scanning, characterization of parts, and eye or gesture tracking. It captures 1.3-Mpixel images at a rate of 60 frames/sec. The EV76C560 CMOS image sensor makes the camera suitable for outdoor imaging applications, such as intelligent traffic systems, where smear must be minimized. Measuring 29 x 29 x 30 mm, the camera features a 32-Mbyte frame buffer; on-camera power, temperature, and status monitoring; and in-field updatable firmware. The camera also provides a full image processing pipeline, including color interpolation, look up table, gamma correction, pixel binning functionality, and more.
