Videology's 1.3 Megapixel Color Digital BT656 Output Board Camera, Optimizes Throughput Into DSP Video Processors
January 30, 2009 Greenville, RI USA/ Uden, Netherlands:
Videology's 1.3 megapixel digital BT656 output board camera, model 24C1.3XDIG, is the recent board of choice for front-end reference design packages and camera designers wishing to capitalize on the board's transfer efficiency. By utilizing a straight digital path there is no signal redundancy--no need to convert the sensor output to an analog signal and then back again to a digital signal. Artifacting is dramatically reduced.
The board has several other features appealing to camera designers in medical, industrial, traffic, security, low-vision and defense industries--the camera board's very small size--22 x 26 mm--and its consistent mechanical fit with Videology's family of CCD boards also with digital BT656 outputs (models 20K14DIG and 20K15DIG). Additionally, the camera produces smooth white balance and operates on very low power (<275mwatt).
The board has a 1/3" CMOS sensor with 1280 x 1024 pixels. As with all our BT656 camera boards, Videology offers standard M12 and M14 board lens mounts as well as CS-C mounts enabling the use of higher end lenses. Videology is able to optimize settings and color for OEMs, and branding and co-branding options are available.
