APRIL 22, 2009--The SM2-D1024-80/ VisionCam PS intelligent camera is now supported by Halcon 9.0 software, an integrated development environment, from MVTec Software. The 1024 x 1024-pixel camera enables high-performance vision systems with computation performance comparable with standard CPU-based vision systems. The smart CMOS camera features a 1-GHz Texas Instruments DSP with 8000 MIPS, Gigabit Ethernet interface, multiple I/Os, 2-Gbyte microSD card, 256-Mbyte SDRAM, and real-time clock. Dynamic range up to 120 dB is achieved via LinLog and capture of up to 75 frames/s is possible at full resolution (faster frame rates are possible through horizontal and vertical windowing with ROI and multiple ROI).

Photonfocus camera SM2-D1024-80 is now supported by HALCON Embedded 9.0
We would like to announce that our intelligent camera SM2-D1024-80 is now supported by the HALCON 9.0 software from MVTec Software GmbH. Photonfocus AG is member of the MVTec partner program. Under this partnership the compatibility of the SM2-D1024-80 and the HALCON 9.0 software was tested and is now guaranteed.
What is the difference between the SM2-D1024-80 and other PC based vision systems? The Austrian Research Center has made a study of the performance of the intelligent camera in comparison with a traditional PC based solution, which is summarised in the attached presentation.
