FEBRUARY 27, 2009--The iCube series consists of two monochrome and five color cameras in two versions, either complete with housing or as a camera module, for installation in machines and industrial facilities. Micron CMOS image sensors with resolutions ranging from WVGA to 5 Mpixel provide plug and play operation and up to 87 frames/s for all models. Higher frame rates are attainable by selecting the free scalable ROI (region of interest), binning, or sub-sampling mode. The USB interface offers lower power consumption, a fast connection, and a power supply via the USB ports. iControl is part of the SDK software and is included in the package. Applications include quality control, inspection, positioning and alignment, completeness control, surface and printing inspection, edge and contour analysis, and barcode and data matrix.

PRESS RELEASE

iCube - USB2.0 cameras with CMOS sensor technology

With its iCube camera family NET has developed a small, compact camera with a USB2.0 interface, which is extremely competitive due to its technical features and its ability to operate in many different areas of application.

The iCube series consists of 2 monochrome and 5 color cameras in two versions, either complete with housing or as a camera module, for installation in machines and industrial facilities. Micron CMOS image sensors with resolutions ranging from WVGA to 5 MP provide an effective "plug & play" solution and frame rates of up to 87fps for all models. Higher frame rates are easily attainable by selecting the free scalable ROI (Region of Interest), Binning or the Sub-Sampling mode.

Further technical features such as the Trigger and Strobe functions, together with an attractive price structure combined with CMOS technology to ensure the best possible picture quality, make the iCube family a reliable and indispensable alternative for use in fast processes where it is necessary to capture a great number of images.

The familiar advantages of a USB interface, such as less power consumption, a fast connection and a power supply via the USB ports, make the USB2.0 cameras a "universal" plug & play camera for laptops, PCs and also for OEM modular systems.

iControl, the integrated viewer software, enables the quick installation of, access to and operation of all iCube cameras. Camera settings can be very easily adjusted with iControl. The software also allows images in various formats to be saved to a connected PC.

The iControl is part of the SDK software (software development kit) and is included in the package. NET's SDK package makes integration into existing and customized applications easy. The software allows easy integration into many commercial systems.

The integration of iCube USB cameras is also supported by a broad range of general functions and enables simple operation of the camera. The iCube family is compatible with software libraries with a Direct-X/Direct-Show interface.

iCube cameras can be found in many different extremely demanding image processing procedures.

Thus, iCube cameras, in both the housed and camera module (OEM) versions, are very convincing in the areas of quality control, inspection, positioning and alignment, completeness control, surface and printing inspection, edge and contour analysis, and barcode and data matrix applications.
