FEBRUARY 5, 2009--Based on a 1.3-Mpixel CMOS progressive-scan sensor, the CSB1100CL-10 camera offers 1240 x 1024 resolution and 22-frame/s capture of fast-moving subjects. It is suitable for machine-vision applications such as factory automation, OCR/DCR reading, inspection, and quality control. The CMOS sensor heightens the camera's spectral response and raises its SNR to 47 dB. The camera incorporates the Camera Link interface for digital 10-bit output, which ensures interchangeability with other Camera Link products utilizing a common connector, cable, and pin assignment. Patented Windows of Interest (WOI) capability allows up to 16 areas within a screen to be set by the user to increase frame rate for high-speed processing. Areas are read out by designating horizontal and vertical addresses. Global shutter mode exposes all pixels simultaneously with little or no blurring; random trigger shutter mode and a wide dynamic range capture both high- and low-intensity subjects at the same time despite a difference in contrasts.

PRESS RELEASE

Toshiba Teli CSB1100CL-10: The Perfect Machine Vision Camera for Tough Economic Times

CMOS Monochrome Camera is Value Priced Alternative to More Expensive CCD-based Models

IRVINE, CA, December 12, 2008 -- The Toshiba Teli CSB1100CL-10 is designed to provide machine vision engineers with an economical, high-performance alternative to more expensive CCD-based monochrome cameras.

Based upon a 1.3 megapixel CMOS progressive scan sensor, the CSB1100CL-10 redefines value with its razor sharp 1240 x 1024 resolution and 22 frame-per-second capture of fast-moving subjects. It is an ideal solution in a variety of challenging machine vision applications, including factory automation, OCR/DCR reading, inspection and quality control. In addition to delivering excellent resolution, the CMOS sensor heightens the camera's spectral response and raises its signal-to-noise ratio to an impressive 47dB.

To save the operator time and money, the CSB1100CL-10 also incorporates the CameraLink™ interface for digital 10-bit output. The interface assures interchangeability of the CSB1100CL-10 with other CameraLink products utilizing a common connector, cable and pin assignment.

The CSB1100CL-10 features Toshiba Teli's patented Windows Of Interest (WOI) capability, allowing up to 16 areas within a screen to be set by the user, resulting in dramatically increased frame rates suitable for extreme high-speed processing. Areas are read out by designating horizontal and vertical addresses.

Other value enhancing features of the CSB1100CL-10 are global shutter mode that exposes all pixels simultaneously with little or no blurring, random trigger shutter mode, and a wide dynamic range to capture both high and low intensity subjects at the same time despite a large difference in contrasts.

The CSB1100CL-10 is immediately available. For more information, please call 1-949-770-TELI (8354). Or visit www.toshiba-teli.com. Toshiba Teli America, Inc. is located at 33 Hammond, Irvine, California, 92618.
