Teledyne e2v adds 5 MPixel CMOS image sensor to its Emerald line

The Emerald 5M, a new addition to Teledyne e2v's Emerald line of CMOS image sensors, is a 5 MPixel sensor with a 1/1.8" optical format available in monochrome and color. The new sensor features a 2.8 µm low-noise, global shutter pixel in a 2560 x 1936 array and can stream 50 fps at 10 bits via a 4-wire, MIPI CSI-2 interface.

The Emerald 5M, a new addition to Teledyne e2v's Emerald line of CMOSimage sensors, is a 5 MPixel sensor with a 1/1.8" optical format available in monochrome and color. Optimized for machine vision applications, the Emerald 5M includes 5° Chief Ray Angle compensation. The sensor is offered in a cLGA package or miniaturized fan-out package with 1.99 mm thickness. Multi region of interest, subsampling, single frame exposure, and single frame HDR are all embedded functionalities of the Emerald 5M.

Teledyne e2v will make samples of the Emerald 5M available in Q1 2019.
