AT-Sensors recently introduced a new high-powered laser sensor to its line of modular 3D sensors, the MCS High-Power Laser. This sensor is equipped with a new 3R/3B laser unit that delivers up to 2.5 watts optical output. It is available in four wavelength variants, 660, 450, 760, and 880nm. With a scan width of up to 2.8 meters, the MCS High Power Laser can achieve a profile speed of up to 140 kHz.

The MCS High-Power Laser sensor is especially designed for machine vision applications performed in challenging conditions, such as bright ambient light, that require high speed imaging or larger working distances. This includes tasks such as road pavement scanning, railroad infrastructure scanning, and inspection of red hot or cold parts.
