SinceVision recently introduced a new backlit, cooled, sCMOS camera line, the Solis series.

There are currently two models available, the B0465, which has 2048 x 2048 resolution, 6.5 μm pixel size 100 fps frame rate and 95% quantum efficiency at 560 nm. The B518 has 800 x 600 resolution, 18 μm pixel size, 120 fps frame rate, and 89.5% quantum efficiency rate at 465 nm.

These cameras, equipped with vacuum sealed chambers and multistage thermoelectric cooling, are especially designed to reduce dark current, a major cause of noise that compromises data integrity in long-term exposure, low light imaging in applications such as microscopy and astronomy.
