LUCID to Showcase New 8K Line Scan, NIR, STARVIS, and 3D RGB-D Cameras at VISION 2026

Burnaby, BC, Canada – August 18, 2026 – LUCID Vision Labs, Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of industrial cameras, will showcase its latest GigE Vision cameras and advanced imaging technologies at VISION 2026, taking place from October 6–8 in Stuttgart, Germany. Visitors can explore LUCID’s newest line scan, NIR, low-light, and RGB-D cameras in Booth 10E40.

New 8K Line Scan and NIR Camera Models

The new Triton®10 8K line scan camera combines high-speed 10GigE performance, GigE Vision 3.0 with RDMA support, Power over Ethernet (PoE), and LUCID’s trusted IP67 Factory Tough™ platform, delivering a unique balance of cost, performance, and compact size for high-bandwidth line scan applications in industrial environments. It expands LUCID’s line scan portfolio for applications including automated optical inspection, material sorting and grading, print and surface inspection, food sorting, and logistics automation.

Also making its debut is the Triton®2 TRT034S, a compact 3.2 MP 2.5GigE camera featuring Sony’s IMX900 global-shutter CMOS sensor. With enhanced near-infrared sensitivity, the camera is well-suited for NIR-based inspection and recognition applications such as barcode reading, industrial automation, and robotics.

Expanded STARVIS and STARVIS 2 Camera Lineup

Visitors can also see LUCID’s recently introduced machine vision cameras featuring Sony STARVIS and STARVIS 2 technology. The lineup includes the Triton10 TRX260S with the 26 MP IMX571 STARVIS sensor, the Triton10 TRX083S with the 8.3 MP IMX585 STARVIS 2 sensor, and the Triton TRI126S and Triton2 TRT126S models featuring the 12.5 MP IMX676 STARVIS 2 sensor.

Available with GigE, 2.5GigE, and 10GigE interfaces, these cameras deliver high-resolution imaging, high sensitivity, and strong performance in low-light and near-infrared applications. The Triton10 models also support high-bandwidth 10GigE transmission with RDMA for low-latency, CPU-efficient image transfer.

Factory-Calibrated Helios®2 Chroma RGB-D Cameras

LUCID has expanded its Helios2 Chroma RGB-D camera lineup, including the Helios2 Chroma, Helios2 Wide Chroma, Helios2+ Chroma, and Helios2 Ray Chroma models. Each model combines a Helios2 Time-of-Flight 3D camera with a Triton color camera in one fully assembled, factory-calibrated IP67 unit.

The Helios2 Chroma series delivers precisely aligned color and depth data without requiring user assembly or calibration. The lineup offers configurations for standard, wide and narrow fields of view, high-speed, high-dynamic-range, and outdoor 3D imaging, making it well-suited for robotics, logistics, material handling, automated inspection, and spatial awareness.

“At VISION 2026, we are presenting new camera technologies that address a broad range of machine vision requirements—from high-resolution line scan and NIR imaging to low-light area scan and calibrated RGB-D,” says Rod Barman, Founder and President of LUCID. “These products reflect our focus on giving customers practical, industrial-grade imaging options across multiple GigE interfaces, and we look forward to unveiling additional innovations on the show floor.”

Built on LUCID’s Factory Tough platforms, these cameras feature robust industrial designs, GigE Vision connectivity, and support through LUCID’s Arena SDK. The Arena SDK is compatible with Windows, Linux 64-bit, and Linux ARM platforms, and it supports C, C++, C#, and Python programming languages.

LUCID Presentations at Industrial VISION Days

In addition to the camera demonstrations, LUCID experts will present two sessions at Industrial VISION Days. On Tuesday, October 6, from 13:20 to 13:40, Brian Cha, Product Manager at LUCID, will present “From Farm to Fork(lift) – End-to-End Food Inspection and Automation.” On Thursday, October 8, from 12:40 to 13:00, Alexis Teissie, Director of Product Management at LUCID, will present “Simplifying Multi-Camera GigE Systems with RDMA and Real-Time Synchronization.”

Visit LUCID at VISION 2026 from October 6–8 at Messe Stuttgart in Booth 10E40. We look forward to welcoming you and showcasing LUCID’s latest products and innovations.
