Critical Link’s MitySOM-5CSx Embedded Imaging Development Kit, paired with an industrial camera from Basler, will be on display at SPIE DCS 2017. Critical Link’s MitySOM-5CSx platform is designed for embedded applications, and features an Altera Cyclone V – U 672 SoC using dual-core Cortex A-9 ARMs and FPGA fabric, leveraging IP Cores from Altera’s VIP suite. Images feed from the MitySOM-5CSx directly to a display port monitor with no PC in the loop. The development kit will be paired with a BCON Dart camera from Basler, which features an LVDS interface and CMOS image sensor options from e2v and ON Semiconductor. The demo will feature real-time image processing in an edge detection application running on the MitySOM-5CSx.
