Basler introduces dart BCON for MIPI Development Kit with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 for Linux

With the new dart BCON for MIPI Development Kit, Basler is offering users a bundle to evaluate the Basler dart BCON for MIPI camera modules and design them into an embedded vision application.

With the new dart BCON for MIPI Development Kit, Basleris offering users a bundle to evaluate the Basler dart BCON for MIPI camera modules and design them into an embedded vision application. The kit consists of a 5 MPixel dart BCON for MIPI camera, a developer processing board based on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 System on Chip with Linux drivers, a 96boards.org-compatible mezzanine board and the necessary accessories, such as lens and cables.

Basler’s pylon Camera Software Suite and the driver package for Linux (Linaro) enable a direct setup of the system, and with the dart BCON for MIPI, the image pre-processing takes place in the image signal processor (ISP) of the host processor, according to Basler.
