Providing position measurement at distances up to 28 mm with 0.1-µm accuracy, the LT laser measurement system can determine the thickness of a transparent object using a single sensor head. The system incorporates a CCD camera that provides a microscopic view of the target to be measured. A cross-hair cursor allows precise positioning of the laser spot, and a built-in oscilloscope produces a display of topographic surface detail.
