Rack-mount enclosure features front cooling system
Measuring 7 in. high x 17 in. wide x 16 in. /19 in. deep, the RR4 is a 4U, eight-drive rack-mount enclosure useful in applications that require ease of maintenance, such as industrial automation, and test/control instrumentation. Features include one 400-W ac power supply; four front removable fans; front removable filters; locking drive doors that restrict unauthorized access; and shock mounted drives. The front cooling system forces air across the drives for optimum cooling. The RR4 supports up to eight devices in removable or hot-swappable shuttles. Optional features include up to four 400-W power supplies and a drive mount bracket that allows four of the vertically mounted drives to be replaced by two 5.25-in. drives and one 3.5-in. drive mounted horizontally. This permits devices that must be mounted horizontally, such as CD-ROM drives, to be included in this enclosure. Price starts at $660.
