If you are looking for an opportunity to have your product, service or technology publicly recognized for originality or innovation, I invite you to participate in the 2017 Vision Systems Design Innovators Awards program.

If you are looking for an opportunity to have your product, service or technology publicly recognized for originality or innovation, I invite you to participate in the 2017 Vision Systems Design Innovators Awards program. Launched two years ago, this program has swiftly become an important initiative that encourages and recognizes advances in the machine vision marketplace.

The 2016 program built upon the success of the inaugural event, culminating in 37 honorees receiving awards. In fact, 31 honorees received awards in person at the May Vision Show ceremony in Boston earlier this year. Now, I'm asking you to help us build on the momentum and make it an even larger indicator of industry achievement.

We are currently accepting submissions for the third annual Vision Systems Design Innovators Awards program. Organizations that demonstrate excellence in a product or technology, an application, or in research and development are invited to submit an application for review. The awards will be presented in April 2017 at the AUTOMATE show in Chicago.

Here's why the investment of time and resources to enter is well worth the effort. First, high-scoring honorees will be recognized as leaders and innovators to the largest collection of vision professionals in the world with coverage in Vision Systems Design magazine as well as on vision-systems.com.

Next, it's a great way to rise above the competition, with credible, third-party validation that your product or technology, application, or research has something unique and worthy of review. It's also excellent public relations! Honorees will be able to fully capitalize with announcements that enhance visibility within the industry with press releases and social posts.

Finally, proud recipients of the coveted Vision Systems Design Innovators Award can display it at their booths during the 2017 Automate Conference, and then bring it back to showcase in their lobby. Plus, they will be able to use the 2017 Vision Systems Design Innovators Award logo in campaigns, on their website and in marketing materials to reinforce their status.

The judging panel consists of systems integrators, consultants and academics with years of experience in specifying, designing and configuring image processing and machine vision systems. Submissions are evaluated for:

• Originality and Innovation

• Impact on Designers, Systems Integrators, End Users

• Fulfilling a need in the market that hasn't been addressed

• Leveraging a novel technology

• Increasing productivity

I want to make sure you have the information you need to submit an entry (or two or three). Submissions are due on December 6. Full program details, including instructions for submission, can be found at vision-systems.com/innovators-awards.html. Please don't hesitate to contact me at [email protected] or (603) 891-9130 if you have any questions.

I look forward to your participation in this program.
