TIM carries PCI hosts

To support TIM-40 modules, the SMT320 four-slot carrier board is designed to overcome the performance limitations of ISA-based DSP systems. A single SMT320 board can host up to eight C4x DSPs with four of the company`s dual-processor TIM modules. The board`s primary slot is connected to the host via a 20-Mbyte/s C4x communications port and via the TIM-40 global bus connector that can transfer data at up to 60 Mbyte/s. This feature benefits I/O intensive daughter cards, such as the company`s SMT311 fast-Fourier-transform module. Price of the board is approximately $1500.
