DSP board supports dual processors

Sept. 1, 1998
The dual-processor PCI/C6600 DSP board sustains either two TMS320C6201 fixed-point or two TMS320C6701 floating-point processors operating at up to 200 MHz and delivering 3200 MIPS/2-GFLOPS of processing power. Each processor can access 1 Mbtyte of Flash memory and 32 Mbytes of SDRAM via an external memory interface. A shared bus enables both processors to access up to 1 Mbyte of SRAM for interprocessor communications and the on-board PCI bus via a PCI bridge device. Via the PCI bus, the host

A shared bus enables both processors to access up to 1 Mbyte of SRAM for interprocessor communications and the on-board PCI bus via a PCI bridge device. Via the PCI bus, the host interface can transfer data at speeds to 132 Mbyte/s. A second shared bus provides access to a 200-Mbyte/s expansion interface site.
