AUGUST 3--PennWell Corp. (Tulsa, OK;www.pennwell.com), the global media and information company, has acquired market-research and management-consulting firm Strategies Unlimited, which specializes in leading-edge technologies including optical networks, optoelectronic components, wireless communications, compound semiconductors, and photovoltaics. Strategies Unlimited will operate as a subsidiary within the PennWell Advanced Technology Division.
