Iverson and Skalabrin promoted
NOVEMBER 30--CyberOptics Corp. (Minneapolis, MN; www.cyberoptics.com), which designs and manufactures a growing range of yield and throughput enhancement tools for the SMT electronic assembly equipment and semiconductor fabrication equipment markets, has named Kathleen (Kitty) P. Iverson president and chief operating officer. Steven M. Quist, who previously held the office of president, will continue as CyberOptics chief executive officer.
As president and chief operating officer, which is a new position at CyberOptics, Iverson will be responsible for managing daily operations. Iverson has served on the CyberOptics board of directors since 1998 and will retain her seat on the board. In her capacity as president and chief operating officer, Kitty will focus a substantial portion of her time on managing the End-User Inspection Systems product group.
Mercury Computer Systems Inc. (Chelmsford, MA; www.mc.com) has promoted Mark F. Skalabrin to vice president and general manager, OEM Solutions Group, which services Mercury's growing business in the semiconductor and video processing markets. In the semiconductor industry, the OEM Solutions Group has developed products for use by original equipment manufacturers in wafer inspection, reticle inspection, and photomask generation--critical applications that target production efficiency.
Skalabrin also oversees Mercury's digital entertainment business in which Mercury's image-processing systems are being used in the development of systems for digital cinema and digital broadcasting.
