SEPTEMBER 18, 2008-- Vision component and services supplier Firstsight Vision (Tongham, UK; www.firstsightvision.co.uk), part of the Stemmer Imaging Group, has reported 13.4% growth in revenue in its financial year to June 30, 2008. Director Mark Williamson says the reported results are "outstanding… particularly considering the current economic downturn in the UK."

Excellent results were recorded throughout the Stemmer Imaging Group, which includes Stemmer Imaging in Germany and Switzerland and IMASYS in France. The growth of the German parent company exceeded the overall growth forecast in the German image-processing market reported by the VDMA, a non-profit organization representing German machinery and industrial equipment manufacturers. Total revenue for the group is approaching EUR 43 million, making it Europe's largest supplier of image-processing components and services, with an overall growth of 8.8%.

Williamson says, "We continue to adapt to changing market conditions and, while maintaining our independent technology status, our Europe-wide purchasing and warehousing policy will ensure that we offer the highest quality products and provide the best service and support to new and existing customers."
