OCTOBER 10, 2008--On Oct. 3, 2008, Datasensor (Bologna, Italy; www.datasensor.com) entered into the Datalogic Group (Automation Division; Bologna, Italy; www.datalogic.com), a company listed in the Star segment of the Milan Stock Exchange and supplier of barcode readers, data collection, mobile computers, and RFID systems.
The deal is expected to allow both the Datalogic Group and Datasensor to consolidate their respective market positions in the industrial automation sector.
Datasensor will maintain its company autonomy, brand, and organization, without impact to its customer, supplier, and partner relationships.
Datasensor has been present on the international market for over 30 years as a company for research, development, production, and sales of photoelectric sensors and associated devices for detection, safety, measurement and inspection in industrial automation.
