Aerotech opens full-service subsidiary in Japan

JULY 28, 2008--Precision motion-control products and systems manufacturer Aerotech (Pittsburgh, PA, USA) has opened Aerotech KK in Tokyo, Japan.

JULY 28, 2008--Precision motion-control products and systems manufacturer Aerotech (Pittsburgh, PA, USA; www.aerotech.com) has opened Aerotech KK in Tokyo, Japan. Under the leadership of managing director Tadashi Imai, the new full-service subsidiary will provide application engineering, sales, and customer service for Japan, as well as support for customers and sales channel partners in the greater region. Aerotech KK joins Aerotech's other full-service subsidiaries in the UK and Germany.

Aerotech manufactures precision motion-control components and systems including gantries; linear and rotary air-bearing stages; linear, rotary, and vertical lift mechanical-bearing stages; gimbals and optical mounts; linear and rotary brush and brushless servomotors and drives; and software-based and stand-alone motion controllers. Custom, vacuum-prepped, and cleanroom components and systems are available. Aerotech's products are in use in applications including semiconductor, photovoltaics, flat-panel display, photonics, MEMS, nanotechnology, military/aerospace, R&D, imaging, laser processing, medical, assembly, automotive, machine tool, packaging, print, textile, electronic manufacturing, test and inspection, metrology, and disk drives.
