Eye Vision Technology (EVT) has annouced the release of the EyeSens TPI (turned part inspection) vision sensor, which is designed for the automated inspection of turned parts on a production line. EyeSens TPIis available with either a CCD or CMOS image sensor with a pixel array up to 2448 x 2050 pixels. The vision sensor, which has a 1 GHz CPU and runs on a Linux operating system, achieves frame rates up to 52 fps and features a web user interface-based image processing software based on EVT’s EyeVision. The version currently available on the EVT website features a 1/3" CMOS sensor with a 782 x 485 pixel array that achieves a frame rate of 30 fps. EVT’s EyeSens TPI sensor is suitable for use in industrial inspection applications.
