First VISION Russia machine vision tradeshow announced for May 2014
Powered by Messe Stuttgart, the first VISION Russia Pavilion and Conference will take place at the Expocentre in Moscow from May 14-15 and will highlight the current and future state of the machine vision industry in Russia.
VISION Russia, in addition to highlighting some of the latest machine vision technologies, will also provide a place for local and internal companies and governmental and research and development institutions to gather to exchange information and ideas. In addition to innovation and modernization, the Russian Federation has identified the following investment and development priorities:
- Government programs designed to boost innovations/technology until 2020
- Support for imported technologies
- Tax benefits for businesses to help boost modernization of technologies and infrastructure
- €80 billion investment for military modernization
- Plans for the modernization of 1,700 plants and factories in Russia
VISION Russia will be co-located with two other industry events, the first of which is SEMICON Russia. SEMICON Russia, which is supported by the Moscow Government, Radioelectronic Industry Department of The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, annually attracts more than 2,500 visitors in the semiconductor manufacturing and microelectronics industries.
The second event, Sviaz-EXPOCOMM, is the biggest telecommunication event in Central and Eastern Europe, celebrating its 26th edition in 2014 with attendance of approximately 30,000 attendees. The exhibition is traditionally supported by Russian Federal Space Agency, Military-Industrial Commission under the Government of the Russian Federation and Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.
