Allied Vision Technologies (AVT; Stadtroda, Germany) has appointed Dynatech Instrument as its official distributor of industrial cameras in Thailand.

The announcement follows hard on the heels of the opening of the company's new sales office in Shanghai, China. Located at the heart of the Xuhui district, the Shanghai office will oversee AVT's expanding business in mainland China and will provide technical support and customer service to local clients.

This is not the company's first foray into the Far East. Allied Vision Technologies opened an office in Singapore in March 2010. That branch of the company will continue to oversee sales activities in Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, India, Australia and New Zealand.

Along with its headquarters in Stadtroda, research and development center in Ahrensburg and Osnabrück in Germany, the camera manufacturer is also present in North America with a sales office in Newburyport, MA and a research and development center in Burnaby, BC in Canada.

Next month, the company plans to debut more than 20 new camera models at the Vision show in Stuttgart in Germany, including its new Mako series with GigE Vision and USB3 Vision interfaces.
